Was wondering if it was possible to have a Scrum board set up for a project for specific sprints that have a clear structure and timeline. But also have a Task Tracking board under the same project to track one off and open ended tasks pertaining to the same project?
Sorry if this question is basic, but I've only been working in Jira for 2 weeks so I honestly don't know.
Or if anyone has any other suggestions as to which sort of board would be best to accomplish what was described above, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Never mind, I realized that Software type and Business type are two different Project templates and therefore, cannot be combined into one project.
@Dorcas Chen - one or more Scrum and Kanban boards may be configured for any kind of Jira project. It's also possible to have a Jira project without any boards.
You might have a software development team manage their work in sprints (on a Scrum board), but also have a Kanban board to visualize ad-hoc work (or recurring chores) that don't necessarily fit into a sprint.
Fun fact: you can have a board pull in issues from multiple projects.
Hope this helps?
