My team was able to create a form in Confluence using the HTML Macro that allows users to report issues/defects.
Is it possible to create a form that allows users to click on a link that will subscribe them to an existing Jira filter?
I assume it could involve URLs similar to those below but I'm not sure how to set this up:
https://URL/secure/Subscribe.jspa?filterId=FILTERID&group=GROUP_NAME&username=USERNAME
https://URL/secure/EditSubscription!default.jspa?filterId=FILTERID
Firstly, it's important to clarify that there's no out-of-the-box feature in Confluence or Jira that directly allows a Confluence form to subscribe a user to a Jira filter. Jira filter subscriptions are typically managed within Jira itself, where users can subscribe to filters they have access to for regular updates.
Possible Workaround
Link to Jira Filter: A simpler, more straightforward method would be to include a direct link in the Confluence page/form description that takes the user to the Jira filter. While this doesn't automatically subscribe them, you can add instructions for users on how to subscribe themselves to the filter in Jira. This method is transparent and empowers users to manage their subscriptions.
