I'm a new user at Jira and i'm looking for a way to specify requiments and connect them to tests. How can I do this at Jira? Is it possible?

Hi Andreza,

Jira natively doesn't support this, you need do it with a Jira app installed in your Jira server.

You can check synapseRT Jira app which can do both requirement and test management, you can create tests from requirement and do traceability between requirement to test and defect. It also gives requirement versioning and baselining feature.

You can check a short introduction video here:

Hi @Andreza Gonçalves,

welcome to the community. It is no problem to do that. Depending on how comfortable you want to do that / what functionality you need, there are more or less two ways.

You can either do it yourself by creating the issue types you need (if they don't exist yet, you must be an Jira Administrator for that), for example Test, and then just link them to each other.

If you want to have it more comfortable and/or want more functionality, you can use add-ons. For Testmanagement there are Zephyr and Xray, for example.

For Xray, I can say, that you can check the test-coverage of your requirements.

Hope this helps.
