Hi all, we have 2 different Kanban boards, and I want to create a sub-task from the main ticket of board A and move it onto board B to be processed there. But I want to keep the main parent to be the ticket on board A.

Is that possible somehow? Or do you know an alternative to work in this way?

Thanks for your help

Tino,

First impressions, sounds messy. But I am sure you have a valid reason you are considering this setup. If you have more information to share on the context or the business problem you are trying to solve, perhaps the community might have other ideas for you.

To respond directly to your question, boards can be based on JQLs. Which means, an issue can appear on multiple boards. As long as your sub-task can be identified using a JQL search criteria, you can create a board that includes it.

Refer to the documentation at https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/create-a-board/

Hope that helps.

Bhushan
