Is it possible to label Projects?

I have a big number of projects to manage, and i'd like to add custom labels (one or more on each project)

is it possible with native jira or i have to grab some add-on?

Hi @Fabrizio Marconi,

no, there's nothing like labels in native Jira for projects. The only thing that might help you is a project category. But with that, you are restricted to one value per project.

You need something like the profields app (Jira Project Custom Fields) from the marketplace. With this app, you can add additional fields to your project. 

There might also be others. This one was the first one I found in the marketplace. I haven't tried it yet.
