Is it possible to link to jira instances on a project?

We are about to work conjointly with another company and both of us use JIRA - Is it possibly to Sync a project between two JIRA instances?  Is there anyone out there currently doing this? or anyone that has had any success with any plugin's?

Hello Becky,

You can use application link between two JIRA instances. What this will provide you, though, is very limited. You will only be able to link / move / mention issues from one instance to another. Only the functionalities from within a project will be able to work together with the other project. You won't be able to create issues from one instance's project into the other and vice-versa.
