Is it possible to perform a series of bulk moves between Jira projects using API calls?

If so, how?  Is System Admin access required?

Hi @Rob Horan ,

This is not possible as far as I know. The public API is not available.

A Jira issue bulk move will include several steps/operations and each step can consist of several actions.

Moving issues is complex because it can change the entire structure of the issue and when that happens, you need to ask the humans what they want to change.  I doubt you will ever see a "simple" API for moving issues between projects (or even issue types)

The desire to move issues regularly or automatically tells us that there is a broken process or a setup that is incorrect.  It is better to fix the process or setup of Jira than try to automate issue moves.

There is an issue, but in this case, the fix involves a new project.
