Is it possible to rename 'Issue' to another word?

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to rename the word 'Issue' to something else within Jira? I would like to pitch Jira as a potential tool for my team to use, but if I am unable to perform this change then it might not fit our needs.

I've looked around for plug-ins that might fix this, but the most popular one, InProduct Translation, seems to no longer work for the newest versions of Jira.

Hello, there is documentation on how to make your own translation located here.

I honestly, have never tried to do this, but it is possible, though may be somewhat time consuming to replace every word "issue" with a different word, especially in phrasing. 

I understand though, that you can download the language pack, unzip the jar file and modify as required.  The file structure is here.
