I have a project containing sensitive information in some issues. I have an engineer from another department that needs to enter worklogs on non sensitive issues in that project. Can I easily give the engineer access to enter worklogs and see only to some specific issues without seeing the entire project?
I also need for the engineer's supervisor to be able to view his complete timesheet without giving the supervisor permission to view all project issues.
Finally I need for those worklogs to show up in EazyBI reports to managers who do not have access to the project.
Using Jira Software on premise server 8.19.1 with Tempo Timesheets
Any advice is welcome.
In your case - You need to restrict sensitive issues from engineer from other department that can be done using issue security like @Trudy Claspill mentioned.
but for this you need to bulk update existing issue to update security level.
Other Option is - You can migrate those issue to another project where engineer from other department has access. Or you can also create separate project for other department and give permission accordingly. it will be better and easy task

I have not worked with this feature before, but Issue Security Levels might allow you to grant access to see only some of the issues for that engineer.

Hi, Issue Security does do the job perfectly. I found the configuration of it a bit counter-intuitive, but it works.
Thanks.

Hi,
eazyBI reports are available for all the users that are added as the account users in eazyBI. So, a user can create eazyBI account and import data according to his/her access rights and share the reports with other Jira users (e.g., managers).
It is also possible in eazyBI data import to apply data adjustments and not import some sensitive information into eazyBI.
Please, check some examples here:
