I'm amazed at how simple functions like an export to xlsx or PDF is missing (or just buried in some obscure place).

Is it really not possible to export backlogs, sprints etc. to a spreadsheet or PDF ?

Hi @Jakob Ashtar

As Jack correctly said, Jira allows exporting for simple use cases (not a lot of formatting or customization is necessary) into formats like Word, XML, HTML or CSV, You can use these out-of-the-box, selecting the "Export" dropdown menu on Server (on the single issue and Issue Navigator views) or a slightly different looking "Export" option on the Cloud interface.

If you need something more professional, you can try one of the apps on the Atlassian Maketplace.

Our Better Excel and Better PDF Exporter apps are specialized to export all sorts of Jira data and even create reports, not just simple lists.

You can find some sample export PDF outputs here and Excel spreadsheets here.

You can export issues via the advanced search for issue view. In that view you can use JQL (advanced) or the Basic view to create a query for the issues your interested in. Once you have the results you want then you can export them to CSV, HTML. In cloud you use the icon in the top left that looks like an open box with down arrow.
