I would like to separate two specific kind of tickets :
1) complete - issue is fixed
2) complete - issue is out of date.
I dont want to use labels etc. because I need to see them on reports.
The simplest way is to have two resolution values.

If I understand correctly it is about closed tickets. Maybe try to use "Resolution" field to separete these two types.
And you can also run a report for this field.
