We want to ensure team members are logging all of their time each day, so I need a query that would allow us to pull a report each day to see how many hours were logged by each team member the previous day so we can reach out with reminders.
Hi @Kathy Ellis
If you considering using additional plugins, you can try ActivityTimeline. It's a resource planning plugin with a lot of reports. You can check resource utilization, and calculate workload and worklog.
For users, ActivityTimeline has a simple personal Workspace with a time tracking feature and editing worklogs ability. On your Workspace user has the possibility to turn on the time tracker and when the task is finished to stop the time tracker and log work with one click.
This plugin offers Timesheet reports which give managers an idea about where their projects stand at any given time so they can spot potential issues quickly before they become real problems.
Managers can review and approve a logged time if needed. It can be useful for overtime hours, for example: If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask me. We can provide a demo session for you if need it.
Hi @Kathy Ellis
You might consider using time-tracking apps that in most cases have a customizable report of tracked time on issues.
I can recommend our Clockwork Automated Time Tracking & Timesheets Pro app, which offers you the possibility to review timesheets and create reports that can be configured in various ways using break-down and filtering options.
We've recently added an option to create Teams and use it to filter the data in the timesheet.
This way you can quickly see how much time was spent on a specific project, and team.
In your case, you can simply create a team and daily reports in our app that would show you the desired data.
Please find below the sample of how the timesheet looks like:

Hi @Kathy Ellis
You can consider the Worklogs - Time Tracking and Reports app that allows you to monitor the tracking time for your team members and their Jira issues on daily basis:
The report is very clear and easy to read. In addition, you can always generate an Excel file based on the report. You can filter the report in many other ways as needed.
I encourage you to try our interactive demo to see if this is something that would meet your expectations.
We are also happy to answer any questions about our application. Feel free to contact us by going to this link.
Kind regards,

Thanks. I was hoping to find a way to pull the information that didn't require an app.

Hi Kathy,
Not sure if this can be achieved with plain JQL. You can use the time tracking report which is available for each project or use the Rest APIs to pull the information.
If you need more detailed reports with filtering and grouping features, you can try out a mktplace app. We have also created an app for the same use case.
Do try it out.

Hi Kathy,
This is not possible without using any 3rd party timesheet add-on. There are various add-ons which can provide the user level report you are looking for. Also, there are some add-ons which can provide automatic reminder for missing worklogs.
Since we are also a timesheet add-on developer, I want to suggest "WorklogPRO - Timesheet for Jira" app.
