Is there a link to export all the Issues in a Project?

David DeSantis May 14, 2019

Individual Issues have an "Export" function.  Is there a similar function to export all the issues in a Project.

Hi @David DeSantis ,

What format do you want to export to?

One possible way to achieve this is with an app like Better PDF Exporter. You can use the Issue List export option to get an issue list like this:

Or you can do the same with Excel as well:

you don't need an addon to export to CSV.

go to Search for issues and enter "project = abc123" then use the export function (cloud = open box w/ down arrow).

Where is Search for issues?

When I find it, do will the search string "project = abc 123" (with spaces) actually lead me do a link?  Will that link actual execute the export function?  What is cloud?  When do I see "cloud"? What is "cloud = open box"?  Is it a hyperlink?  Is that the hyperlink with the dropdown menu?

Hi, @David DeSantis

Choose Issues > Search for issues

look through the Atlassian Documentation:

Basic searching

Advanced searching

Then you can pick 'column' and add all fields that you need in.

Then 'Export' 'CSV Current fields'

do a search e.g project = a
Then do an export, otherwise as proposed above there are a lot of apps available for this

There is only one search field, on the Jira Taskbar (top of page).  Entering project = a does nothing.

Yes, you are in the right place (it's called the Issue Navigator in Jira).

What Tomas meant, is that in that search field put project = [your project name]

execute the search and then select the Export dropdown, shown above.

Figured it out myself (in plain English w/ some Jira terminology):

From the Project List View select the "Export" dropdown menu.  Select the export option.

Choose your delimiter.  Select "Export".  The exported file appears as a download in the browser (lower left-hand side).
