Looking for an easy way to view the sprint history by user, seeing tickets/points assigned to that user and % completed each sprint.

Jira doesn’t offer this level of tracking by default.
If you’re open to using a Marketplace app, my team developed Report Hub to fill this gap.
  • Planned workload per sprint (per user) is available in the Workload per Sprint report, which you can set up in just a few clicks.

  • What was actually completed is easy to track using the Custom Chart with JQL filter.Screenshot 2025-04-15 at 09.38.51.png
  • Drill down to view specific tickets in a sub-table within the chart by clicking on a specific Bar
Hope that helps!

Hi @Jesse Allen,

You could try using the Jira's Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget to get the number of tickets per assignee in every sprint. All you have to do is to configure it with a filter that returns the issues and set statistics by Assignee and Sprint.

Unfortunately this gadget cannot calculate by total story points or percent completion; it only displays the count of issues.

For better stats, my advice is to search for an plugin on Atlassian Marketplace.

If you consider the idea of using a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that allows you to calculate the stats you need and to display them in form of table, heatmap table or charts of various types. Here are some examples:

Hope this helps. If you need any help with these gadgets, feel free to contact us directly at support@stonikbyte.com.

Hi @Jesse Allen ,

By default it's not recommeneded to track each engineer's contribution individually, that's why JIRA can't do that natively. You can achieve it using the application I have developed Multi-team Metrics & Retrospective.

You can achieve it by using the custom JQL filter feature. As a result, all work-items assigned to developers will look like this. Similarly, you can construct a JQL for completed work-items per assignee. You will be able to see the dynamics/progress between sprints and have a drill-down to see what each bar consists of and more.

Hey @Jesse Allen

You might want to check out the Smart Productivity & Team Performance Dashboard for Jira by TitanApps (available on the Atlassian Marketplace).

With Smart Productivity Dashboard, you can:

  • View user-level sprint history and performance – see which work items (issues) were assigned, created, and completed by each user

  • Get a % of sprint work completed per user, benchmarked against the team’s median performance

  • Track performance across multiple sprints, projects, epics, or issue types

  • Group metrics by teams (e.g. Backend, QA) and roles for easier comparisons

  • Pull in additional context from GitHub and Confluence, if your team works across platforms

It’s ideal if you want a clearer picture of how individuals or teams are progressing over time without setting up custom reports or micromanaging.

You can explore the app here

Hope that helps!

Hi @Jesse Allen

Welcome to the community !!

If you would be interested in a mktplace app for this requirement, pls do take a look at
Agile Velocity & Status Gadgets

The app comes with few dashboard gadgets to track team member's / team's velocity / productivity based on story points / time spent / issue count in a sprint  and also track sprint status with multiple parameters.

Hi @Jesse Allen ! 👋
Welcome to the Community!

While Jira’s native Sprint Report offers a high-level view, it doesn’t break things down by individual user. You might want to check out the Sprint Report from Time in Status.

image.png

Here’s what you’ll get in the Sprint Report:

📊 Workload per assignee

  • View how much work (issues/points) was committed, added, or removed for each team member

  • Bright sections of the bar show committed + added work

  • Light sections show removed work

👀 Interactive View

  • Hover over a team member’s bar to see their detailed workload

  • Compare across team members to identify who was over- or under-loaded

No setup is required in advance — Time in Status retrieves historical data, so you can analyze sprints you’ve already completed. This is especially helpful if you’re just starting out but want to review past team performance.

Add-ons developed by my team.

Let me know if you'd like help setting it up or configuring filters for your boards!
