I have an overdue status set up based on the due date. But it happens that users are assigned either tasks that are already overdue or due today.
I would like to find a way to control and inform the users that the due date is in the past or today when they are assigning an issue to another user or transitioning it.
The solutions from JMWE seem to have options that I could use.
Hi @Javanshir Mustafayev _ HIT
When transitioning issues, you could use a build-your-own validator to check the due date.
However, when the assignee is changed, you won't be able to prevent it but you could display a message to the user using a Display message to user post function inside an event-based action listening to the assignee field being changed.

Hi @David Fischer could you please provide the steps to both of the solutions you mentioned?
Thanks in advance!

I see that you have opened a support request with Appfire for that requirement. Let's give them a chance to respond to your question, we'll post the answer here once it works.

Added JMWE tag as we are using it, maybe it has a solution that I could use?
