Hello @Regan Richard

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

What type of project does this concern? Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

The answers provided by @Stephen_Lugton and @Cyrille Martin will apply only if you are using a Company Managed project.

If you are using a Team Managed project those do not support multiple subtask issue types. In that case I would suggest that you use Labels or a new custom field to specify the a "type" for each subtask item.

Hi @Regan Richard

Welcome to the community forum.

Yes you can create new Type of issues in your site and set them as sub-task type/

Hi @Regan Richard

Go into your project settings, and on the left hand bar under Work items look for Types.

When you click on types you should see a list of all work item types that can be used with that project, you nay find that the new sub-tasks you created are not in that list, if that is the case, click on the actions dropdown button at the top right and from the list choose .Edit issue types.

This will take you to a screen where you can drag and drop your new sub-tasks types from the right column to the left column, making sure you hit save at the bottom of the screen.

Closing the loop on this, the image you shared is from a Team Managed project.

The work item types available in such a project are created in that same place using the Add work type button, and only one Subtask type is supported.

The other location where you created additional Sub-task types is where they are created for availability in Company Managed projects only.
