Is there a way to force Jira to show a ticket after it has been created?

When I create a ticket I get a tiny lightbox that is easy to miss, which disappears after a few seconds.  I then wind up doing things like adding details and screenshots to the wrong ticket because I had another on screen at the time I hit create.  This is EXTREMELY frustrating.  I know it was something like 30 years ago, but Jira USED TO open your new tickets on screen upon create.  

Is there any way to perform brain surgery on Jira to bring this back?

hey @Rob Horan

Yes it's extremely frustrating, unfortunately I'm not aware of a way to have it open automatticaly after creation but you could click on the Issues drop down at the top (server) or side (cloud) and the first ticket "should" be the issue you just created. It does this for me so I'm hoping it does it for you?
