Is there a way to hide fields from the "create" submission but will still show on the issue/task?

Hello team! I am new to Jira and we are looking to see if there is a way to hide a few of the fields from the "create" submission but we want them to still show on the actual task when it is submitted. Our submitters dont need the fields, but when our team works the task, we need to see them. So far it seems that it can only be hidden everywhere or shown everywhere. Any ideas?

Hello there, 

Not sure if you are in server or cloud. You should be able to have different screens for Create, View and/or Edit and use a screen scheme to associate the issue operation with each screen. I will often create a create screen associated with the create operation, that has fewer fields than the edit/view screen that the Devs will use when that is the use case.
