Is there a way to identify issues that were flagged at any point in time?

I don't want Issues that is Flagged at the moment. I want to know Issues that was flagged (It would include Issues that is flagged atm).

Flagged changed to "impediment" AFTER -10d  -> History searches do not support the 'Flagged' field.

Hello @Pedro Webster 

There is not an option available in native Jira JQL to get what you want.

You might be able to develop a custom solution using the Jira REST API to examine the history records for work items.

You could use a custom field to record the date and issue was flagged, using Automation to set the field. That would only help you as flags are set going forward. It would not help you with historic data at this point.

There might be a third party app that would help you get that information. Are you willing to consider an app?

You can use a custom field and Jira automation or check apps for this case.


Issue History for Jira, developed by my team, enables tracking past changes for any field, including the Flagged field. You can select any time range simply from a calendar drop-down or presets.

If you’d like to report on issues that were flagged at any point in time — not just those currently flagged — you can achieve this using Timepiece – Time in Status for Jira, developed by my teams at OBSS, with the following reports:

Any Field Duration Report

This report shows how long each issue had a specific field value, such as when the "Flagged" field was set. It helps you understand how long issues remained flagged, even if they are no longer flagged now.

Any Field Count Report

This one shows how many times a field value changed to a specific option — in your case, how many times an issue was flagged. Again, this includes historical data, not just the current field state.

With these two reports, you can identify issues that were flagged at any time, regardless of whether they are flagged now.

Hello @Pedro Webster 

There is no bundled option for that, but you are free to use a free app on the Marketplace. You can check SnapMetrics - Real Time Analytics, which has an Issue History Report that allows you to list the changes in that field. I am one of the team members; feel free to ask questions if you need further details.

Hi @Pedro Webster ,

 

If you are open to using apps you can use Issue History Dashboard for Jira (Work Items) an app provided by our company.

You can filter your search by Field Updated to be the field that you consider the flag.

Result is exportable to CSV.
