Users have experienced an issue when using the "full screen create" mode in JIRA (not the modal create). If they enter text into a field, description for example, but leave a required field unset and then click create, the required field errors are thrown but then all field values are reset to blank. This can be especially frustrating for users.
Notably this does not occur with the modal create window, errors are thrown and any entered values are retained.
Is there any solution or workaround to this issue aside from telling users "don't use the full screen create"?
