×The first question we ask our customers is, "What application is your request regarding?" The Application field we have in Jira is a dropdown, and unfortunately, not all customers have all of the applications. We want the list they see to be reflective of the applications their organization has. How can I do this in Jira Forms or ?
@Mikael Sandberg collected all the elegant solutions, but a low-cost solution could be just using a "Select List (Cascading)" instead of the current dropdown. In the first step, the customer customer should select his company, then in the second only the applications used by that company should be offered.
It is a bit dumb, but this may be the smallest change from the single-custom-field approach you are using right now.
Also, if you have a large number of customers and applications, or they and their associations change frequently, then it may not be convenient to maintain the options for the cascade dropdown.
You could do this with Assets and filter issue scope, and you could do it directly on the request form or via Forms. Your other options is to use entitlements which allows you to associate products to the organization the customer belongs to.
