Is there an option in Jira to auto change the assignee as per the status of the issue?

As per the Software cycle, when i create a new requirement and assign it to the designers/analyst to work on it and once they complete and change the status to complete, is it possible to auto change the assignee to the project role responsible for testing as per the status of the workflow.

There are 2 solutions I have in mind. 

• On the Project workflow, find the transition that will point to the status you would like this action to be done and click "Post Functions" on the transition properties. You can create a post function to assign the issue to another person.
• Another easy way would be installing the add-on Automation for JIRA and create a post-function to assign the issue to a particular user is a certain condition is met.
