Is there any issue noticed wile tagging the teams in the comments?

I had created a few teams using the "People" option and grouped members under the team, Which helped me to tag all the members at one go by tagging the team that I created. Until yesterday it was working as expected, However suddenly the created groups have now disappeared and I am unable to tag the teams in the comments. I tried to recreate the groups and save them, I do get a popup that says the team is saved, however, it doesn't appear in my teams and I am still unable to tag using the team option. Any update/information on the same would be helpful.

There are several possibilities; do the team 'users' you added have the same user group and project role as the regular users, and does that exist in the permission scheme for browse projects permission?

Another suggestion is that the team accounts may have gone inactive. Many Jira admin will automate user accounts to be made inactive after a long duration of inactivity, which in the case of an account like this could be the case.
