Is there any plan within Atlassian to support Target Version (Custom Field) being supported to enable one to add it to a Project Plan.  Currently today we have created a custom field call Target Version , of Type " Version Picker( single version) " .. that is enabled for all Issue type Screens on all JIRA Projects.. but we are unable to add it to a JIRA Project Plan.

We can add Fix Version ( using Releases) but not Target Version.

Some of the Atlassian Support Manuals pages bring one close to being able to do it ... but ultimately not..

Enable custom fields to use in your plan | Jira Cloud | Atlassian Support

Add a custom field to a screen | Atlassian Support

Is the challenge / problem that Target Version is of type " Version Picker( single version) "

which is not one of the 9 custom field types are supported in JIRA Atlassian plan ( today) ?

“The following globally-scoped custom field types are supported in your plan:

  • checkbox
  • date picker
  • user picker (single user)
  • number
  • radio button
  • single-choice select
  • multiple-choice select
  • single-line text
  • URL (read-only)”

So the question is .. is there ANY way to add Target Version to Atlassian JIRA Plans ?..... and if NO, is there any plan to consider add it in the future ?

thanks !

Hi @Trevor Lonergan welcome to the community.  I might not be understanding your question fully, but I took a quick look at Atlassian's Jira Site and did a web search and didn't see anything related to that.

You're more than welcome to Submit a suggestion to Atlassian on that site.  Give it a good description of what you're looking for, and maybe down the road, we'll see that added in a later version of Jira!

Hope that helps.
