Is there any solution that would automatically import the SNOW reports to Jira?

Richa Rajaram Aware January 3, 2023

we should be able to create tickets based on the reports exported from SNOW.

Currently we are able to automatically export SNOW ticket reports every couple of minutes. Those reports can be uploaded to Jira manually and then tickets based on them can be created. But we do not want to upload them manually every couple of minutes, so can you suggest any solution on this.

Could you please suggest any solution that would automatically import the SNOW reports to Jira in a timely manner.

Hi @Richa Rajaram Aware ,

Can I please have some more information on what reports you want to sync from Snow to Jira?

You may create your own interface if you want to sync issues between these 2, or you may use an integration solution like Exalate.

With Exalate, You can sync any issue type in Jira to any table (Incident/Problem) etc in ServiceNow.

Can you please describe what exactly you want to sync so that I can help you better here.

Thanks, Dhiren

@Richa Rajaram Aware hi there! If you're open to a 3rd party solution, check out ZigiOps. It's a no-code solution that can bi-directionally connect SNow & Jira, sync them (tickets/reports/etc.) and allow you to import different data (from either of the systems) thanks to its advanced customization functionalities. You can check out ZigiOps and what it does here at the Atlassian marketplace. Also, if you want to see how it actually connects the two - feel free to book a demo slot, it costs nothing but we'll have the chance to dive deep into your use case and see how we can help resolve it.

Hi @Richa Rajaram Aware

Jira issues can be created from ServiceNow but you either need to use an app from the marketplace or an existing solution or do it yourself by writing an interface.

Both ServiceNow and Jira comes with REST API and you can build your own interface to sync the tickets.

By the way you can also create Jira tickets by sending an email to a specific address. You can also explore that option.

I hope it helps.

Ravi
