I have embedded an issue collector in our web app. It "appears" to be working, it opens form, I can submit feedback and view the "issue" in the project but the reporter set to receive notification is not receiving them.  I confirmed that the email is set to receive notifications on creation of a jira issue. The only issue I see is  the following two console errors

Hi @Bonnie Battin, this could be related to notification settings rather than the issue collector itself, you may want to check the following.

  • Ensure that the project's notification scheme is setup correctly. The reporter should be included in the "Issue Created" event. You can review and edit this by going to: Project Settings > Notifications.
  • Confirm that the reporter's user profile settings in Jira allow them to receive notifications. Users can customize their own notification preferences, so the reporter should verify that they have not opted out of receiving certain types of notifications, this can be checked when the user goes to profile > Notifications
  • If using Jira Service Management, ensure that the request type and its associated settings are configured to notify the reporter, you may want to check this page: https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/request-created-e-mail-notifications-of-issues-created-through-issue-collectors-are-not-working-in-jira-service-management/

I hope that helps!

Thank you for that information.  It was your second bullet point that fixed the issue, I needed to update my personal notifications by checking the box next to Receive emails when "You make changes to issues".

Which of course means I'm receiving emails about EVERYTHING now not just for this project.  We have several different company projects and so it has applied it to all of them.  Which now rather annoying.
