I'm lokoing to see if anyone has written a query that would return user stories that were in multiple sprints? I know, I know... a user story should be complete in 1 sprint, but you know the reality.

Hi @Kelly Thoma

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, this would be very easy to achieve with JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing all issue fields, plus a number of "special fields" that aren't natively available in Jira. One of these special fields is "Number of sprints".

What you can then do is to apply a column filter in JXL to narrow down your list of issues to all issues that are in a certain "sprint count range", like this:

More info at https://jxl.app. Disclaimer: I work on JXL :)

Hope this helps,

Hannes

Thanks Hannes,

I'm working in a large enterprise with Jira as the enterprise tool. However, I can certainly ask our Jira Product Office if JXL is on their roadmap to incorporate. This is exactly what I need!

Thanks for the quick reply.

Kelly
