Issue status is not displaying in full

You need to shorten your status names.  Jira's screen layouts don't have the room for long status, so the code chops off the longer ones when it needs to.

Hi Norman - I have created few custom statuses in the work flow for Issues. This status is displaying only around 18-20 characters. My Issue status is long like " Escalation Desk - Work In Progress" , however it is displaying just as "Escalation Desk-.."

Did you mean to create this question and if so, can you explain what you mean. Maybe an image would help showing which screen and where.
