Issue status remains closed instead of released

Hi there,

I have a bunch of issues that remain on status 'Closed' instead of 'Released'.
I checked and the connected fix version has status 'Released' so normally releasing the fix version automatically transfers the status from Closed to Released but it somehow didn't for these issues and I can't figure out how to manually fix this.

I get this:

Instead of this:

Without more context, I'd look into:

  1. Check the workflow for the issue to make sure there is a valid transition to follow from Closed to Released
    1. If you're not able to transition the issues manually, there's a reason for it so figuring out why the issues can't reach the desired status is the first thing to solve
  2. Check Automation for Jira to find a rule that governs this automatic transition
    1. Once you can manually transition the tickets, make sure the automation is still trying to make the right thing happen
  3. If it's not there, check for Scriptrunner scripts
    1. Listeners, or Behaviors is probably where this would be.

Found out in the logs that the automation couldn't run because the status of some of the tickets (they we're still in progress or ready for test and couldn't transition to released for that reason).
