Hi,
When you create an issue, usually there should be types where you pick the type (Epic, User Story, etc) , somehow I can only see as types "The Epic" and "The Task", where to add or reset so it shows all types?
Hello @Dustin
Welcome to the community.
Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?
For a Team Managed project, you would go to Project Settings > Issue Types to see the issue types available for that project.
For a Company Managed project the issue types are specified in an Issue Type Scheme that is associated to the project. You can go through Project Settings > Summary to see all the schemes associated with the project. Issue Types is in the upper left corner.
If you have enough permissions you can click on the name of the scheme and that will take you to a page with an Action button. From the Action button you can elect to edit the scheme and change the available issue types, or you can elect to associate a different scheme with the project. Note that for Company Managed projects the schemes may be shared with other projects, and changes you make will affect all projects that use that scheme.
Hello @Dustin and welcome to the Community!
Those issue types are configured in issue type schemes. If you are a Jira Administrator, select the Settings (cog icon) in the top right of the navigation pane (next to your profile picture), select "Issues", then select "Issue Type Schemes." From here you can find the scheme that your project is specifically using. Selecting "Edit" will allow you to add/remove issue types available to your project.
If you want all issue types available for selection then you can always use the Default Issue Type Scheme which is Global for all unconfigured projects.
Hope this helps

Thank you!
I was able to add the "User Story" issue type from Project Settings, where you can add a type if you need. I am following a QA online course, I want to just quickly mention that the instructor didn't add any type to his, it just came up automatically by default. Anyway, thanks again.
