Hi,

I uploaded an image to a project. The Image was then changed but wasn't renamed. When I came to upload it the image uploaded as I would expect. The only issue was that is associated with the old image and not the new one I had uploaded.

I needed to rename the file for the system to associate to the correct image. I think there should be a disclaimer when uploading an image with the same name as this set our project back 1 week as the old information was being worked on.

hi @Nathan Wisniewski,

May be you are running in to JRASERVER-19680. if this is the case the ticket is already marked as Resolved with Time out resolution.

But as @[deleted] suggest , it is worth mentioning your feature suggestion to Atlassian support. because when there are number of attachments attached in a ticket, it is practically impossible for users to check whether the attachment name is different from existing names or not.

Hi @Nathan Wisniewski,

Sounds like you found a good bug with attachment names, you may want to let Atlassian Support know about this issue as they might be able to either fix the issue directly or give you information surrounding the reason why the attachment name bug is happening.

I'm glad you found a workaround to your issue though and it has been documented for others who may happen to have the same issue :)

Thanks
