Hi Atlassian community,
our US company use JIRA software in our daily bases. After new interface came in we have many issues with attachments in the comment section.
Technically we was doing the same flow that we did in old version:
attaching different jpeg, png, excel and word. But after saving attempt we observe error about incorrect format and after refreshing the comment was gone.
Please, resolve it out because it impacts on our business.
@Earl McCutcheon
I saw that issue https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72486 was verified, not sure that it has already deployed in production but just only for my tracking and for you information the issue is still reproducible
Hi Aliaksandr,
Thanks for the concern and a status explanation on the BUG, the Issue is not fixed yet, the Verified status means it is reproducible in all instances and does not need additional information on our end to reproduce the error.
The issue will be marked as Resolved or Closed with a Resolution noting the resolution path (i.e. Fixed) once it is deployed to production.
Regards,
Earl

Regarding to you questions. After I have got error I performed refresh manually and after that my comment disappears. But I guess it is expected behavior based on error message. Unexpected for me that I'm not able to save this in new version, but I can in old version. Also this error message easy to skip because I still able to see my comment and to do next actions and it is kind of proof that I saved.
Couple details:
1. I added my jira name using tag like @Earl McCutcheon
2. I dragged and dropped files with names: RES_10517.png, EN-10517_TEST_RESULTS.xlsx, EN-10517_Verification_Details_001.docx
3. I applied text style like Bold and Green color
Please, see the attached file

Hey Aliaksandr,
That error lines up with the one at the following Bug report, except the known Bug relates to special characters and not attachments or color formatting:
I did a few tests locally and I was not able to trigger either of the errors you noted using a similarly formatted comment, so at this point lets get you in touch with the support team se we can take a closer look at the instance and the logging and see what is going on here.
I created the following Support request for you, let me know if you are having any issues accessing the support portal and one of our Support Engineeres will be in touch with you shorty:

Hi Aliaksandr,
Thanks for reaching out, and I would love to take a closer look at the behavior you're describing, and this does sound like there is some room for improvement or possible bug.
First do you have the syntax of the error you encountered or know how to reproduce it? Screenshots would be helpful if you can grab any. For recreation steps is it related to a specific filetype uploaded possibly, like any time the specific file type is uploaded the error is triggered.
Then for the refresh that you noted that is removing your common can you please list the steps you are following that are triggering this to occur. Was the refresh happening in conjunction with the error as an auto refresh when the error occurred or was the error doing something like preventing you from continuing so you had to manually refresh the page to continue?
Regards,
Earl
