I met the issue with tables in a story, in edit mode it displays normally, but in view mode, all columns are auto changed to the same widths

Hi Celine,

Welcome to the community!

I just tested this myself and I observe the same issue. I'll hit the button on my side to ask Atlassian Support to look at this thread, if they can reproduce it they will likely create a bug ticket for this :)

Hi @Celine Nguyen

If I understand the problem, the width of the columns on a table in a Jira work item (issue), appear correctly when editing the description, but once saved, the viewing of that description shows all the columns having seemingly equal widths.

Once I understood that to replicate this problem I had to set the table option to use numbered columns, then I too could replicate this.  Although I did not find any existing bugs for this behavior.  So I created a new bug for this.  You can track this over in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-95277

I suspect that a different recent change to the numbered columns width to fix a different bug in the editor might be the cause for this behavior, but I'd recommend watching that bug for updates to this.  Our team will take a closer look and see.

Thanks for reporting this to us.

Andy
