Issues moved to another Project are not showing up

Charles Wayne September 8, 2021

I moved some issues types from one project (Old) to another project (New).  In the new project, those issue that were moved are not appearing in the project.  If I search for them, they are not showing anywhere.

If I go to the "Issues" search, searching for the old issue tickets by the Old project filter, they will appear as they have never been moved.

But, when you click on the 1 of the old issue within that search, the next page would display and show a new key number for the new project.

Hope this made sense.

Hi @Charles Wayne,

how about running re-index on the target project?

if you haven't tried, kindly try re-index and see how it goes

Hmm.  So a couple of questions before I start guessing:

If you pick on a single issue that you have moved from Old to New, then

  • How did you do this move? (Issue -> move, or bulk-edit -> include issue in list -> move all in list, or something else?)
  • Moving an issue from project to project should change its key to match the new project (for example, ABC-123 changes to DEF-456), so what happens when
  • Does the issue show in the results if you search just by project, and if it does, which key does it show?
