I keep getting this error "Unable to reach the remote application - We couldn't resolve the hostname..." when I create an application link on both Jira and Confluence, I have checked the DNS records already and the URLs exist. I have tried nslookup just to be sure and yes, the records exist.
However if I change the URL to the IP address, then the connection works.
What could be the problem???
@Yury Lubanets I tried nslookup on both Jira and Confluence servers; https is not in use as well so SSL is out of it here. I will check the log file, thanks.

I got a workaround, turns out I just had to update the server base url, and the error message will cease.
