JETI: Initializing a User Picker custom field

I'm currently on JIRA 6.4.8 and using JETI 6.3.0.15

Does initializing a user picker custom field work only if the username is given and NOT the user's full name?

I've tested this, and the user picker custom field I created only initializes with username. It would be super helpful to recognize a user's full name as well.
