I've got JIRA 6.x and JIRA Agile licences still with the maintenance. May I upgrade to JIRA Software and use it even if I don't buy the maintenance for next period?

As long as you have a non expired license, you can install the latest updates. Once your license expires, you'll be able to install only the versions that were released when your license was valid.
