JIRA Configuration for Filling In Compulsory Field when Dragging Issues under Active Sprints

Hi all,

I would like to ask if it is possible to create a configuration in JIRA such that when an issue is dragged from "To Do" to "In Progress" in the "Active Sprint" webpage, there will be a prompt which requires the JIRA user to fill in certain fields which is compulsory in the same issue.

The current version is JIRA 7.6.2.

What you require is very much possible in Jira, you need to add transition screen to your workflow transition (from open to in-progress)

Hey Jin Tian,

Just to add on to Tarun's suggestion.

Doing so will pop up a screen, but won't enforce the user to fill in the fields.

You will need to use Workflow Validators to make fields required on transition screens, and you need an add-on. Refer to this for more info:
