JIRA Migrate And Upgrade

We have a JIRA instance V6.2 which need to be migrated into new machine and then need to upgrade into latest version. What are the steps i need to follow ?  what is preferred method of doing it from below ?

 

  1. Migrate to same JIRA version and then upgrade it
  2. Install latest JIRA on new server and migrate

Hi Kanchana,

  • First of all you need to create a backup from your 6.2 JIRA.
  • Install JIRA one new server
  • Install all plugins manually. Check firstly if new version of JIRA support this add-ons
  • Restored db from backup
