JIRA Plugin

Hi,
I am from Karya technologies. We develop an app called BUGSACK(http://www.bugsack.com) which is a mobile version of JIRA. I went through JIRA Plugins section, where i was instructed to create a plugin for JIRA. The doubt i have is, whether JIRA plugin you are asking is an extra feature for JIRA or anyother new format of JIRA. Totally i am bit confused with it. So please guide on what is JIRA plugin?

So what youre saying is, youve written a mobile app, great, now separately and unrelatedly 'does anyone have a good idea for a plugin'? I suggest you look at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA , plenty of possibilities.

Much as Andy said before, Jira plugins are pieces of software that you deploy in Jira to provide additional features.

I suppose you could also say that core JIRA functionality is being migrated into 'plugins' much like 3rd party code, separating concerns and all that good stuff. The point being, a plugin, is not necessarily trivial in size or importance.

JIRA plugins are in the main, pieces of software that can deploy within JIRA providing some additional feature or integration. What is the feature you are trying to add to JIRA? integrate your mobile app with it? in which case, the REST api's already present in JIRA may serve, meaning you may not have to write a JIRA plugin at all.

We have already developed an app for mobilizing JIRA, which is Bugsack. But we are looking to built a plugin for web app JIRA . So can you suggest any plugins for JIRA web app which we can build.
