JIRA Startup Failed

Hi, I installed yesterday Jira, and everything went ok, but this morning Jira was down, and when I restarted, this message appeared:

It appears that you're getting the issue described in this KB. Most of the times it's related to the performance of the server itself, you may add the parameter -Datlassian.plugins.enable.wait=300 to increase the plugin startup timeout and see if it brings any improvement.

I am facing the same issue as in when trying to start JIRA its shows me JIRA is locked. JIRA starts but the plugins are not enabled. I referred the Atlassian JIRA tutorial (https://developer.atlassian.com/docs/getting-started/learn-the-development-platform-by-example/create-a-plugin-skeleton) and created a refapp plugin and when i try to integrate this with JIRA I'm facing this issue.

This was an incompatibility issue between Tempo Timesheets (7.9) and JIRA Agile. Upgrading JIRA Agile to 6.3.13.1 from 6.3.11 resolved the issue in our environment.

My issue began after upgrading the Tempo plugin. JIRA starts fine, but the plugin cannot be enabled.

Hi Julian and Mark,

When this behaviour started?
Was there any change on your Jira recently that could start this behaviour - Like an upgrade or plugins update?

I recommend:

1) Check if your have JAVA_HOME variable set on your OS.

2) Check if your JIRA_HOME is properly set;

3) Check if you're running JDK 1.7 if you're running a new version of Jira. On this link you'll see the compatible versions of Java for each Jira version: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Supported+Platforms

4) In case Jira still fail to start, you can rename the <Jira-Home>/plugins/installed-plugins folder, and try restarting Jira. This will make Jira to ignore this folder and start without the installed plugins that might affecting your instance.

Julian, ever get this resolved? We're experiencing similar issues specifically with the Tempo Timesheets plugin. "Application context initialization for 'is.origo.jira.tempo-plugin' has timed out"
