JIRA and User Authentication Issue

Okay here is what happened. last fall we had a contractor work for us until November. We were using JIRA 4.1.2 at that time. When the contractor left I removed the user from all active JIRA groups which I do when any user leaves. We then upgraded to 4.4.3 at the end of the year. Now the contractor has come back for another contract but it appears when we upgraded all users who were not in active JIRA groups got put in the JIRA Internal Directory instead of the JIRA Delegated Authentication Directory. There does not appear to be any way to move that user back into the JIRA Delegated Authentication Directory that I can find. Any was to move a user back?

Hi Andrew,

we had exactly the same problem. Unfortunately we did not find a solution. We dropped the user from the internal directory and created him again.

Before dropping the user, we had to change all the issues he created and where he was the latest assignnee. After recreating, we assigned the issues back to him and changed the reporter back. It was a bit painful...

Maybe you find another way, good luck

Thomas
