Hi there,

we are setting up a failover cluster. Do we need a second JIRA and Confluence License, for your passive server or can it be the same license since just one is running at a time?

Thanks!

Regards,

Gabriel

Not quite true.  You do not need a separate paid licence, but you should really use the developer licence that you get with a full licence on the failover - that is exactly what the dev licences are for (your production licence is for production, not failover)

Hi Gabriel,

You do not need additional licenses. You use the same license on the standby instances, but they cannot be running when the other side is up. We are looking to do the same and this is what we were told by a VAR we are dealing with.

hth.
