One of my workflows is behaving weird. When I am trying to transition issue from its initial status to next status, it is showing the loading page for ever. I checked the catalina logs but didn't find anything. Please suggest a solution. Thanks in Advance.
If it's always doing this (that is, it's not a temporary glitch), it would be helpful if you showed what the transition actually does. Does it have a post function that goes on for ever, a strange validator, or something like that?
It doesn’t have any post functions, validators or conditions.

Any connection to external systems of some kind, which might be hanging?
Do your other workflows work as they should? Then, what's the difference between this and the others?

No we don't have any connections to external systems. But I was testing a plugin called Herzum Approvals. The workflow worked as expected until 2 days ago but now it stopped responding. I did disable the plugin. This is the only workflow causing issue in the whole instance, others are good. Projects which ever are using this workflow has the same issue. I even tried to add another status and added create transition to that new status and added one outgoing transition to that status but it is doing same.

I would suspect that plugin, in that case. Note that it says, in its documentation, that you need to explicitly clean the workflows before uninstalling it. (https://chicago.herzum.com/confluence/display/HAP/Uninstalling+Herzum+Approval) I don't know if that's relevant also for just disabling it, but would expect so.

My trial version of the plugin expired yesterday and I disabled it yesterday but the workflow stopped responding from Tuesday. Also the is no conditions related to that plugin in the transitions from initial status to the second status. I did create few transitions my self after disabling the plugin.

I have a screen on the transition. When I click on the transition button to perform transition it is not popping up the screen. But, when I open the transition in new tab, new tab is opened with the screen I have on the transition and there i am able to do the transition.

Ok. If you remove the screen (and make the transition instant), does it work? If you test it in different browsers, is there any difference?

I tried in different browsers, also in different computers but no use. When I remove the screen it is working. Do you think it is causing because of any field?

Put the screen back and then remove one thing at a time from it, to see when it starts working. Then you have a field to suspect, at least.

Figured it out. It was was causing due to java script I used for one field to display another field based on the value of this field.
Thanks a lot for your time and help.
