If we downgrade existing jira license then based on some filters we will have minimize the user count and need to deallocate those users from jira-user group. This count will be in thousands so it is difficult to deallocate them manually from the group.
Can we achieve this through any data base script.
Thanks,
Sujata
Let me brief you on this,
As we have downgraded number of user licenses , so if we try to implement new license then it gives some error like You will not able to create any more issues in JIRA until you reduce the number of users with the 'JIRA Users', 'JIRA Administrators' or 'JIRA System Administrators' global permission .
Now we are in process of domain migration, where we have to create new userid's for our existing users as per their respective id's in new domain, so in such scenario
1. Existing active users (old domain active users) will become inactive ? and number of users license will applicable for newly created users?
2. Except JIRA admin users can we deallocate all these old domain active users in bulk from jira-user group from UI? what will be its impact?
Hi @Sujata,
Out of the box it is not available . You can use third party plugins. Please refer

One of your links seemed to be set up incorrectly. I have fixed the issue.
Thanks
