Getting an error "/jira_server failed with the error "dispatch_unknown_error" in Slack with JIRA server and SSO.
As per the below article, need to whitelist Slack URL from SSO configuration.
Could you please help me with the steps.
Thanks in Advance!!
Hi @Shruthi BM,
In the context of that article, SSO is not a specific Jira feature or integration but a category of solutions that could be integrated with Jira Server. It's known that some third-party integrations might interfere with the Jira Server app by blocking incoming requests from Slack.
In practical terms, you (or your Jira admin) has to look for such third-party solutions you've added to your Jira. Each one of them will have a particular way to do the whitelisting.
Keep in mind, however, there are other causes for the error you're getting, which basically means Slack can't reach our to your Jira instance. Slack requires your instance to be accessible from the internet over a secure HTTPS-based URL and with a valid certificate (not self-signed). Check also if your network has a firewall blocking requests.
You can find more details on how to troubleshoot connection issue between the Jira Server app and Slack in our documentation.
If you still have trouble around this, you might try contacting Atlassian support as they will be able to tackle your case in its specifics.
Cheers!
Thank You Luiz for your response. I will check the configuration as mentioned by you.
