I want help to construct a query that shows me all stories and their child tasks that are in certain status in a given sprint to track the sprint progress or reassignment.

Hi,

With standard JQL, you can only get a list of issues with links and export them to Excel for further processing. This works if you want to do a one-off analysis.

Standard JQL doesn't easily allow it, but you can find the results quickly using our professional indexing service JQL Search Extensions

After you install the app, you can simply search:

sprint="My sprint" or issue in linkedIssuesOfQuery("Sprint='My Sprint'")

Check out the documentation to see more examples.

I hope this helps!
Daniel

Hi @Reenu Sandhu

Welcome to the community!

As an alternative, try add-in Time in Status for Jira Cloud developed by my team.

Here you can get time data by Epics using the Pivot Table function. Here is a video tutorial that can help you.  And here is a detailed instruction on how to set it up.

In the report, you'll see time spend in each status by epics and tasks by the selected period.
