JSD Question - When a certain priority is set how do I auto assign to a person (or group of people)

In Jira Service Desk and someone sets the priority to Highest I want the ticket to auto assign to a person (or optimally to notify a group of people it's been set ti Highest).

Hello,

you can use Automation functionality of Jira Service Desk to achieve this.

  1. Navigate to your project settings -> Automation
  2. Add rule Be aware of urgent issues
  3. Fill in Rule name
  4.  Setup If section
    1. Issue matches: priority = Highest
  5. Setup Then section
    1. Edit issue: Assignee = person
    2. Alert user: person
  6. Save
