Java script to restrict issues based on issue types.

I need to restrict issues to be available in the links screen for a particular issue type. For example, i need build request issue type issues should allow only "BUG\TASK" issue types in issue linking. How can i do this using java script or Jquery?

Unfortunately it's still not possible in JIRA out of the box. But you can try Extended Schemes for JIRA which allows you to manage (hide and show for Projects/Issue Types) not only Link Types but also for Priorities and Resolutions
