Jira 4.2.1 upgrade process

Hello,

I have a EAR/WAR verison of JIRA that is still running 4.2.1. Should I upgrade straight to 5.x, or upgrade first to 4.4, then up to 5.x?

You can upgrade it straight to 5.x. You just need to follow this doc for that:
